Tours and tastings in AOC Graves
The Graves appellation refers to wines produced on the Bordeaux region's oldest vineyard: the Graves vineyard. It extends some sixty kilometers from Bordeaux to Langon along the Garonne's left bank (with the area to the north falling under the Pessac-Léognan AOC). The Graves appellation is the only one named for its soil. Indeed, the vines grow on a soil made up of calcareous stones (the "graves") which allow for an exceptional thermal control of the vines.
