Lalande de Pomerol
Why do we love it?
Located on a gravelly slope facing due south, Chateau Belles-Graves offers visitors one of the best views of the Barbanne Valley, at the edge of Pomerol. The beautiful U-shaped 18th century Chartreuse looks like it could have hosted Prosper Mérimée, or,
closer to our time, Major Jacques-Yves Cousteau, a great lover of wine and a member of the family.
The vineyard is a family property; the vines are 40 years old on average, and the cultivation method is still traditional.
We can only recommend warmly that you visit this magnificent winery full of history, where your welcome will be simple and warm.
The wines made at Chateau Belles-Graves win awards regularly; they are wines that can be enjoyed when young, but can also be aged for a decade.
